THE FIGHT GOES ON PART TWO

you may think that having had a member of your family sectioned under the mental health act and admitted to a mental health hospital,you may think-fantastic-after two years of fighting through the courts and 11 phsycriatric
reports later it may be time to relax.
But no chance in just 4 weeks at the hospital where my daughter is now(refered by the nhs )part of a group which at the moment have 13 hospitals of which 5 are below the standard required by the care quality commission,i have reported 33 breaches of the code of practice.

there are also breaches of 3 serious untoward incident reporting procedures,41 post incidents review-to be held within 72 hours of the incident,and a mere 6 breaches of the human rights act.

and you can have all this for just £750 per night if you are private and i can only guess what it costs the nhs to have mentally ill people called service users maybe as much as 3 to 4 thousand pounds a week,just to have rules,regulations and guidelines ignored.

D.L.A part two

i accept that in these times of cuts,cuts and more cuts that dla claiments can not escape without examination.
for the governmant to impose across the board cuts(pre-targeted)without looking at an individuals needs and requirements is totally unacceptable.
then to announce a five fold increase to help people suffering with disease in other countries yes x5 when the sick in this country are being victimised through dla cuts i find offencesive and un defencable.

i am not in any way at all saying the suffering of people in other lands should be ignored because of course they should not be BUT what about the mental suffering,the anxiety,the stress etc the changes to dla are causing this countries citizens who are genuine claiments of dla.

i accept that there are scroungers and abusers of the dla system in this country and that most people think changes are needed and all we ask is fairness,compassion and to be treated fairly.

we do need the help or the n h s would be totally over run with calls for carers etc,yes our loved ones care for us but at what cost.emotional blackmail they will care for you because they love you--NO NO NO NO.DISABILITY AFFECTS THIER LIVES TOO.

x5 increase to help other lands-GREAT or will some of this money go to corrupt goverments-i do not know the answer.

what i do know the d l a payments do not go to corrupt governments JUST to help the genuine people retain a little dignity,a right to some form of life and a little indepenence.

the HUMAN RIGHTS ACT article 8 covers the right to a family life-the right to dignity-to be treat with respect   and not to be subjected to torture of which mental torture must be included,and believe me the changes to dla is causing great mental torture and i wonder if the facts will ever be revealed of how many people due to these changes give up thier fight for life and end thier own existance and suffering and think thier loved ones are better off without them.

DRINKING OR DRUGS THEY,L WATCH EACH DAY
TREATMENT FOR  DEAFNESS OR LOSS OF SIGHT
HELP FOR YOUR WEIGHT TO HEAVY OR LIGHT
IN GROWING TOE NAILS HELP IS AT HAND
THE NHS IS OFTEN SO GRAND
BUT WHAT GOES ON WITHIN ONES OWN MIND
SOMETIMES BLACK BUT MOSTLY SO KIND
BUT HER MIND IS BROKEN SO WHO DO I SEE
THE GP WHO SAYS ITS NOT UP TO ME
SO WAIT FOR MONTHS TO SEE SOMEONE MORE
AFTER 20 MINUTES TELL YOU THERES THE DOOR
WE WILL BE IN TOUCH VERY VERY SOON
WONT HOLD OUR BREATH WAIT FOR A BLUE MOON
ASK HER THE QUESTION DO YOU THINK YOU ARE MAD
SHE IS OK JUST OBVIOUSLY VERY VERY SAD

ADVICE IS TO WAIT FOR A LONG LONG WHILE
IN THE MEANTIME TRY NOT TO END UP DEAD

THIS IS HOW THINGS SEEMED IN MAY 2009,NO ASSESSMENT JUST CONSTANTLY IN AND OUT OF JAIL FOR MY DAUGHTER AND THE INADAQUATE MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM,PLEASE LEAVE COMMENTS.IT IS NOW 2012 AND YES SHE IS SECTIONED BUT NOW THE FIGHT IS FOR HER RIGHTS IN THE MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM.
